Mountain of the Lord movie

We finished up all but the last 3 minutes of "Mountain of the Lord" film.

How does it relate to 2 Nephi???

What is the whole purpose of daily early morning seminary?

Our goal is to get you to the temple, worthy and prepared to learn more.
Work on your reading! 5-10 minutes a day of personal scripture study will change your life (and help you pass seminary this year! And graduate from seminary for our seniors!)

5:55 am class starts. 2 Nephi 25 by Friday.

Carianne has devotional all week. President Stewart announced that if the student arrives on time and does the devotional the first 4 days, he will do Friday, as a reward/incentive.

How EARLY?

Class starts at 5:55 am.

We've had a problem with tardiness. Please make a greater effort to be on time. We need all your voices when we start singing! We miss you!

Class president elected: Stewart, VP is Steven, Secretary is Carianne.

Devotionals this week:
Monday-Devin
Tuesday-Devin
Wednesday-Devin
Thursday-Devin
Friday- Devin

Lehi died. But not before bearing his testimony to his children and grandchildren.

We are in the thick of Jacob's sermon and the Isaiah chapters. Hang in there! Hopefully every day it is a little more clear and easier to understand.

Remember to use your personal Liahona. Listen to the still small voice, follow the impressions you feel. It's more than just a "gut feeling." Pay attention to the physical sensations (warmth, light, love, peace, knowledge in your mind) and how you experience promptings from the Lord. It takes practice listening and acting on the whisperings of the Holy Ghost.

Here are pictures from our kool-aid play-dough activity; round ball, curious workmanship, 2 spindles, writing that changed...like cell phone text messages, someone wondered aloud?

Life & Death and WHY are we here, again?

I love seeing your mini-yous hanging on the wire of eternity. Time stretches in both directions, and our life on earth is short. Another reason to not procrastinate.

Speaking of which, are you caught up in your Book of Mormon reading?

10 minutes a day.

Set a timer. Start at the beginning of the book. Use a book mark so you know where you left off. You can do this!

If your excuse is "my scriptures are at seminary" I KNOW your parents would be willing to supply a home family copy. If that isn't working out, I will email you 10 minutes of reading for each day. I want you to succeed! You can do this!

There is a Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ for each of you to give away this year. Think of your friends, neighbors, coaches, teachers. Someone is ready, or will be ready. Pray to know. Pray for courage. And then just President Spencer Kimball it. "Do it." You can do this, too!

Pick the GREEN doors!

After race car day last week, I hope you students came home and talked to your families about AGENCY! (NOT "free" agency!) Did you show them your key-chain chart? Explain it to a younger sibling?

Okay, fast review:

I paint our home often enough that I almost could have shown you a green door and a yellow door as another visual aid. Just imagine them, please?

And remember, it is your parents, teachers, Church leaders, and the Holy Ghost teaching and telling you which doors are green, which ones are yellow. You can learn the hard way, too, by experience and trial and error, but risk getting zapped.

Monday October 12th we start on 2 Nephi 6.

Dedicate 10 minutes EVERY day to reading in the Book of Mormon and you will finish by the end of the school year easily!
